SDV Conference Europe 2025 in Berlin - Two Days of Technology, Insights & Real Conversations

SDV Conference Europe 2025 in Berlin – Two Days of Technology, Insights & Real Conversations

Packed halls, curious attendees, and lots of inspiring exchanges, that’s how we
experienced Software-Defined Vehicles Conference Europe 2025 in Berlin. Together with
our partner SonarSource, we joined the event on December 1–2 with our own shared booth
and found ourselves in the center of one of the fastest-growing sectors of the automotive
industry.
SDV has quickly become one of the key events for automotive innovators, software
experts, and security professionals – and we’re excited to have been a part of it.

Warming Up: Icebreaker Sessions in a Berlin Pub 🍻🍻

Even before the conference officially started, the evening kicked off with the Icebreaker
Sessions in a cozy Berlin pub. Each partner company hosted a “Stammtisch” table with a
specific discussion topic.

A standout moment:
At the Bosch table, the question was “What is SDV and what ecosystems exist around it?” –
and the range of perspectives was both diverse and energizing. Short statements, bold
visions, and everything in between.
The relaxed atmosphere set the perfect tone for the upcoming days, a great start to the
event.

Workshops & Brainstorming – Customers Right in the Middle 💡💡

Throughout both conference days, interactive workshop sessions created a dynamic mix of
brainstorming and problem-solving. Customers and experts discussed challenges, strategic
directions, and what SDV ecosystems might look like in the coming years.
These formats highlighted how essential co-creation has become in such a complex
environment.

Our “Silent Disco” Demo – No Dancing, Lots of Brain Activity
🎧🎧🎧🎧

A clear highlight was the demo session by our colleague Mathias Conradt.
In a silent-disco-style setup (yes, with headphones!), he guided participants through:
“Securing the Software Supply Chain in the Era of AI”
Nobody danced – but the audience certainly had their minds spinning. The deep dive into
SAST, SCA, and modern security practices for SDV environments was extremely well
received.

The Atmosphere: Professional, Focused & Tech-Driven ⚙

SDV 2025 had a distinctly professional tone and a strong technology focus. Conversations
were deep, analytical, and highly future-oriented.
One thing became very clear to us:
SDV fits perfectly into our broader SDP strategy.

Our Booth – Less Visible, More Impactful 😉😉

Our joint booth at Stand 6, shared with SonarSource, was a true collaboration.
A small anecdote:
Our banner package from the UK got stuck in German customs and didn’t arrive on time.
Not ideal, but we improvised, adapted, and made it work. Sometimes that’s the best kind
of teamwork.
The conversations at the booth, however, were excellent.

Conversations That Stood Out: Code, Ecosystems & AI Debugging

Visitor questions were just as diverse as the SDV ecosystem itself. Some of the most
common discussions included:
“Why are you at an SDV conference? You’re doing code analysis.”
→ A great opportunity to bust a few misconceptions.
We explained how essential secure, high-quality code is in modern automotive systems.
“How do we actually debug AI models?”
A hot topic – and a complex one.
Our take: In highly regulated industries, AI debugging will remain a challenge for a while,
especially regarding safety, auditability, and compliance.
“How do you span the range from concrete source-code questions to SDV ecosystems?”
Because we understand both the software and the architectures driving it.
These conversations reaffirmed how relevant our work is across the entire SDV lifecycle.

Our Takeaways & What’s Next 🚀🚀

What we’re taking with us:
The SDV community is growing quickly and is eager to collaborate.
The intersection of code quality, DevSecOps, and automotive requirements is becoming
increasingly important.
Our value proposition hits exactly the right note for the challenges ahead.
And for what’s next?
We’re looking forward to continuing the conversations, deepening new connections, and
joining upcoming events focused on SDV, AI security, and modern software development.
