Complex IT environments often require companies to modernize legacy systems while keeping daily operations stable. Subrat Sahoo, who joined the company in 2017 as a freelance consultant and later transitioned into a full-time role, experienced this challenge firsthand. Over the years, he has helped lead several complex projects, gradually scaling a small team into a strong support organization and improving processes along the way.
When Subrat first joined a migration project in 2017, the task was clear but demanding: move a customer’s legacy environment to the Digital AI TeamForge platform without disrupting day-to-day work.
Soon after, another long-term support engagement revealed additional issues. The support environment relied heavily on manual processes, outdated plugins, and irregular application updates. Frequent outages and slow issue resolution had begun to reduce user confidence. In a more recent project, the challenge shifted toward rebuilding trust in support processes and demonstrating reliability to new stakeholders.
Subrat and his team focused on three key principles:
Automation first – The initial platform migration was fully automated using scripts and orchestrated processes, allowing a zero-downtime transition.
Process improvements – Within a few months, support workflows were restructured with regular triage meetings, clearer maintenance routines, and automation for repetitive tasks.
Team development – Over time, the support team grew significantly, with cross-training and regular system updates ensuring knowledge sharing and stable operations.
Transparent communication and proactive support also played a key role in rebuilding trust in newer projects.
The improvements quickly delivered measurable results:
For Subrat, one lesson stands out: understanding the entire project context, not just individual tasks, is essential for success.
“When you see the bigger picture, you can anticipate challenges and work more effectively as a team,” he explains. “Open communication and collaboration are crucial, especially in complex projects.”
This mindset, combined with strong teamwork and continuous improvement, has helped turn several challenging projects into lasting success stories.
